Crocking Results

The Crock Pot is such a wonderful device. I fixed it and forgot it yesterday. It all turned out yummy, it was done by 5, and I was able to get some things accomplished while it was cooking. Things like, picking Abby up from school, facebooking, feeding the baby, making out party invites, and cleaning up the dining area. The downside to this is there is just as much prep time to some of the recipes, so, not easier to make. Clean up is about the same. So, why not just cook it on the stove or in the oven? For me, it's the convenience of being able to have it be ready by a certain time no matter what chaos is going on in the afternoon. I can make it midday when Angel is napping or in the morning when the girls are still asleep when I can focus solely on cooking. So, the crocking was a success. Only problem was I didn't get to do dishes last night after dinner so crock pots aren't clean this morning. I have no meat thawed out either. So, crocking means planning ahead. Lesson learned.
